The 8th district of Budapest is a district of the city about which most foreigners are not informed correctly. This area is also one of those areas that together form the city center in Budapest.

The most important thing to know about the district is that the area is divided into two main parts. The inner part of the district, which is locally called Palotanegyed. It originates precisely from the city center, that is, it borders with the 5th district and ends at a Grand Boulevard. And the second part is from the Grand Boulevard and beyond. You can just say the “good” part and the “bad” part.

And we are interested in just and only the “good part” of the district, the other part is not interesting, since it really is not quite suitable for real estate investment, except for certain points located near Grand Boulevard. But this is not what we are going to talk about today.

This means that the inner part of the district (Polotonegied) is adjacent to the 5th district and includes such famous spots and streets in the city as Kalvin square, Astoria, the Hungarian National Museum, Szabó Ervin library, ELTE University, Sammelweis University and much more. This area is known precisely for the presence of a large number of universities and, accordingly, a large number of local and foreign students studying at these universities.

In addition to the 5th district, on another side it borders with the inner part of 7th district and with the inner part of the 9th district. This is a very beautiful area with beautiful classic houses, beautiful and well-groomed streets and small squares and parks and a large number of young people studying in various educational institutions of the area. This area is very well suited for buying and investing in real estate, primarily because of the large number of students, as well as because of its very good location in the city center.

Public transport in and around the area is very developed and convenient. There are metro lines 3 and 4, trams 47-49, various bus lines, trams 4-6, etc.

This area is generally not inferior to such areas as the 6th and 7th, even in some cases surpasses them in infrastructure, location and again, it is a beautiful place.
